The mission of Sweetwater County Transit Authority is to contribute to the 

well-being of the community by providing safe transit service at efficient cost levels with a friendly and courteous level of customer service.

At Sweetwater County Transit Authority, we proudly serve the residents of  Sweetwater County.  Buses run in Rock Springs and Green River, and also between Rock Springs and Green River.  With enough advance notice, we can also provide transportation to other areas of Sweetwater County. 

Sweetwater County Transit Authority receives grant funding from the Federal Transportation Administration (FTA).  Sweetwater County, The City of Rock Springs, and the City of Green River provide STAR with the necessary matching funds to secure these federal grants.  Our community matching funds make our transit system possible!
